About Line 6 in Relationship
The 6th line is the only profile line that lives in three phases — and the quest for the Soul Mate plays out across all three. In the first phase (roughly 0–30), the 6th line experiences relationships with a trial-and-error quality similar to the 3rd line: bonds form and dissolve, patterns emerge, lessons accumulate. In the second phase (30–50), the 6th line retreats to the "roof" — observing relationships from a distance, still absorbing but no longer fully in the dance. In the third phase (50+), when the 6th line comes off the roof as the Role Model, the relational field changes fundamentally.
It is in the third phase that the Soul Mate question becomes most alive. The 6th line carries a deep, often unarticulated orientation toward a relationship that carries a sense of destiny — a partner who feels not just compatible but correct at a fundamental level. Ra Uru Hu — Founder, Human Design System
Ra Uru Hu (born Alan Robert Krakower, April 9, 1948 — March 12, 2011) was a Canadian-born author and teacher who founded the Human Design System. In January 1987, while living on the island of Ibiza, Spain, Ra Uru Hu described an eight-day mystical encounter he called "the Voice," during which the foundational framework of Human Design was transmitted to him. He spent the following decades systematizing and teaching this body of knowledge, synthesizing elements of the I Ching, Western astrology, the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, the Hindu-Brahmin chakra system, and quantum physics into a unified framework for understanding the mechanics of human consciousness and design.
Ra Uru Hu founded the International Human Design School (IHDS) in 1992 as the institutional body for maintaining the professional standards and authentic transmission of the system. Over two decades, he recorded thousands of hours of teaching programs covering every dimension of the system — from foundational mechanics to advanced specializations.
