Understanding the 6 Lines

Each Profile is composed of two line numbers (1–6) drawn from the I'Ching hexagram structure that underlies the Human Design Bodygraph. The first line is your conscious (Personality) line — the identity you are aware of. The second is your unconscious (Design) line — qualities others see in you that you may not notice in yourself.

1 Investigator

Building foundations, research, security-seeking before acting.

2 Hermit

Natural, innate genius that replenishes in solitude; called out by others.

3 Martyr

Learning through trial, error, and bonds made and broken.

4 Opportunist

Transmitting through personal networks; opportunity through relationships.

5 Heretic

Universalizing practical solutions; the projection field.

6 Role Model

Three-phase life: experience → roof → embodied example.

Conscious vs. Unconscious

Your conscious (Personality) line is calculated from your birth moment — this is the "you" you identify with, your inner narrative.
