Profile 4/6 — Opportunist / Role Model
The Network-Connected Elder
The 4/6 Profile carries the conscious Opportunist quality — network-building, relationship-based opportunities — alongside the unconscious Role Model of Line 6. Like the 3/6, the 4/6 goes through life phases, but their experimentation is more relational (who they are with matters profoundly) and the eventual Role Model quality emerges through the quality of their relationships.
The Sun transits through each gate line in approximately 22–23 hours. Transits reflect the collective field, not individual decisions.
Showing the next dates when the Sun will transit through Line 4 (your conscious line) and Line 6 (your unconscious line) across all 64 gates.
Dates calculated using astronomical ephemeris data (UTC). Sun spends approximately 22–23 hours in each gate line. Consult a practitioner for personalized transit interpretation.
Building the right community through relationship and eventually becoming a trusted elder within that community.
Allowing wrong relationships to dominate life, or using the relational nature to avoid the deeper integration work the 6th line requires.
The 4/6 must be discerning about who they give their time and trust to. The right relationships catalyze the Role Model potential. Wrong ones keep the process stuck in endless opportunism.
This Profile moves through distinct life phases. Understanding which phase you are in changes everything about how you interpret your experiences.
The first phase is dominated by the 4th line's relational quality operating in experimental mode. The 4/6 actively builds their network, forms deep bonds, and moves through relationships that teach them who and what is genuinely aligned. Some relationships will be intense and formative; others will complete and dissolve. The transpersonal karma of the Left Angle means some of these relational encounters feel fated — like they were always going to happen.
Around age 30, the 6th line's "roof time" activates. The 4/6 becomes significantly more selective about who they invest in relationally. They step back from the intensity of Phase 1's relational experimentation and begin integrating what they've learned. The network becomes more carefully curated. Some relationships from Phase 1 continue; many don't. This is not retreat — it is discernment.
In Phase 3, the 4/6's Role Model quality fully emerges within their community network. They become the person their circle turns to — not because they have all the answers, but because they have genuinely lived the relational journey and can embody what healthy, aligned relationship and community look like. Their leadership comes through example and presence, not instruction.
Historical figures whose life arc reflects the themes of this Profile, as discussed in Human Design educational tradition.
Built her entire ministry through deeply trusted relational networks and eventually emerged as one of the 20th century's most universally recognized Role Models — not through preaching but through embodied service that her community reflected back as example.
The archetypal community elder who transmitted wisdom through a trusted circle of students and relationships across three phases of life — becoming one of the most enduring Role Model legacies in human history, whose teachings live through the relational transmission he built.

Join the Community →The 4/6 Profile is the Opportunist/Role Model — a Left Angle Cross profile with transpersonal karma. Consciously driven by network-based opportunity (Line 4) and unconsciously designed to embody the Role Model (Line 6), the 4/6 moves through three life phases, becoming an increasingly trusted elder within their community.
Phase 1 (0–30): relational experimentation — the 4/6 builds their network and learns through relationship. Phase 2 (30–50): the roof time — increased selectivity and integration. Phase 3 (50+): the Role Model — the 4/6 becomes a trusted community elder whose embodied presence guides others.
Both profiles have the 6th line and move through three phases. The key difference is the first line: the 3/6 consciously learns through trial-and-error (bonds that break, experiments that fail), while the 4/6 consciously learns through its network (opportunities through trusted relationships). The 3/6's Phase 1 tends to look more chaotic; the 4/6's looks more relationally focused.
