Ra Uru Hu's transmission on beings with no internal motor authority — and why the outer environment becomes the intelligence that guides their decisions.
In Human Design, the vast majority of beings carry what Ra Uru Hu calls an Inner Authority — a defined center whose consistent biochemical intelligence guides correct decision-making from within the body. But for a specific subset of Projectors, there is no motor center defined in their design kit that connects to the Throat in a way that creates an internal authority signal. These beings — those with No Direct Inner Authority — have what Ra calls "outer authority," and understanding what that actually means is the heart of this transmission.
Ra addresses two primary configurations covered under No Direct Inner Authority. The first is Self-Projected Authority (also called G Center Authority), which belongs to Projectors with a defined G Center and no Solar Plexus, Spleen, Sacral, or Ego Center defined. For these beings, the G Center — the center of love, direction, and identity — carries the intelligence. The G Center speaks through the voice. These Projectors make correct decisions by talking out loud about themselves and listening to what comes out of their own mouths. Their clarity does not come from contemplation, journaling, or thinking. It comes from speaking their truth into environments that are correct for them and hearing where their voice takes them.
The second configuration — sometimes called Outer Authority or Environment — applies to certain Projectors whose design kit shows no defined motor at all. For these beings, the decision-making intelligence lies entirely in the quality of the environment they find themselves in, and in the perspectives they gather from others. Ra's guidance is counter-intuitive here: these beings need to talk to many different people, in many different places, not to get advice, but to hear what arises in themselves in response to different environments and conversations. The "decision" is what crystallises after sufficient outer input.
Ra is clear that No Direct Inner Authority beings face a particular conditioning pressure. The world is built for quick decisions and internal certainty. Being told "just trust yourself" is precisely unhelpful for beings whose correct intelligence doesn't live inside in the way others' does. The deconditioning path for these individuals requires permission to take time, to gather perspectives, to speak without conclusion — and to trust what emerges from that process rather than forcing premature certainty.
This course is especially important for Human Design analysts working with Projectors, as No Direct Inner Authority is disproportionately represented in the Projector type. Understanding the nuances of G Center authority, the role of environment in decision-making, and the mechanics of outer authority is essential for correct professional guidance.
