Human Design is a system of self-knowledge that was revealed to Ra Uru Hu in January 1987 in Ibiza, Spain. It synthesizes the I Ching, astrology, Kabbalah, the Hindu-Brahmin chakra system, and quantum physics into a precise map of how your energy works — called a BodyGraph or design kit. There are 4 Types:

• Generator (70% of population) — including the Manifesting Generator subset. Sacral response is the authority. Strategy: Respond.
• Projector (20%) — designed to guide energy, not generate it. Strategy: Wait for Recognition and Invitation.
• Manifestor (9%) — the only Type that can truly initiate. Strategy: Inform before acting.
• Reflector (<1%) — samples and reflects the health of their environment. Strategy: Wait a lunar cycle before deciding.

Strategy is how your Type engages with life correctly — your action principle. Authority is where correct decision-making lives in your body. Yes. At ICONIC Human Design Education, PMA, we use the term design kit instead of "chart" or "BodyGraph." The design kit is your complete Human Design map — defined and undefined centers, active gates, channels, and both calculation layers (Personality and Design).

They are distinct systems. Human Design is a mechanics-based system revealed to Ra Uru Hu. Gene Keys is a separate, spiritually-interpreted system by Richard Rudd — it is not Human Design and is not taught or endorsed by ICONIC Human Design Education, PMA. We teach Ra Uru Hu's original system without hybrid overlays.
