Doaa Abu Gharbiyeh

After graduation with a BA in English Language and Literature, I worked as a linguist, lexicographer (I made a dictionary), translator, project manager, interpreter, communications specialist, technical writer, and editor, to name a few roles. Parallel to my professional life, I got married and became a mother to four beautiful children. Like many, I learned to balance the personal and professional and achieve higher levels of efficiency and organization. I was successful balancing career and life- or so I thought until, at a certain point, I experienced burnout! I sought counseling to learn how to cope and stretch myself further. Instead, I learned to heal a self that was driven by 'an image of what life needed to look like", and live a more authentic life! 2010 was a pivotal year for me. I decided to let go of a 9-5 workday and started working as a freelance communications specialist/ translator. Parallel to this, I started studying to become a Certified Holistic Counselor and Energy Healer at Munira Nusseibeh School of Holistic Studies. The day I received my certificate from my teacher, she introduced me to the Human Design System and encouraged me to explore it. Two years later, in 2016, I became a certified Living Human Design Guide. I have been pursuing other healing modalities to deepen my practice, some independent studies, and others with great teachers. It is a cliche, but Human Design did change my life in ways I am still exploring and investigating. The system can ground one in one's physical/human experience, it frees the mind from conditioning and dysfunctional beliefs (read dogma, social restrictions, as an example), and allows an authentic exploration of one's life and environment and potential. Parallel to this, I am offering the Human Design material in my mother tongue, Arabic, to introduce the knowledge of Human Design to Arabic speakers. I've worked with people from Jordan, Palestine, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Kuwait, in addition to Arabic-speaking clients in Europe and the US. I created a Facebook page offering HD knowledge in Arabic, as well as a community of Arab Human Design learners.
