In Human Design, the Wave refers to the emotional wave of the defined Solar Plexus Center — the inherent cycling through emotional highs and lows that characterizes Emotional Authority. The wave is not a dysfunction; it is the natural rhythm of the Solar Plexus's awareness system. For those with Emotional Authority, there is no truth in the now — clarity and alignment emerge over time as one rides the wave through its full cycle. Decisions made at the peak of a high or the depth of a low are Not-Self decisions.
