I-Ching

Trigram

Each of the 64 hexagrams of the I-Ching is composed of two Trigrams — an upper and a lower, each made up of three lines. In Human Design, the upper Trigram of a hexagram corresponds to the outer Lines (4, 5, 6) and relates to the transpersonal realm of expression — how the individual's energy projects outward to impact others. The lower Trigram corresponds to the inner Lines (1, 2, 3) and relates to the personal realm of development. The Trigram system is a foundational layer of Ra Uru Hu's Line philosophy.
