The North Node is one of the two Lunar Nodes used in Human Design (alongside the South Node). In the BodyGraph, both the Personality North Node and Design North Node activate specific Gates based on their zodiac positions at the two calculation moments (birth and ~88 solar degrees prior). In traditional astrology, the North Node is associated with the direction of growth and evolution in this lifetime. In Human Design, Ra Uru Hu integrated the Nodes as the activations that govern the vehicle's trajectory and environment (Design side) and the mind's perspective and view (Personality side). The North Node's activation in the BodyGraph points toward the forward-moving, evolutionary direction of the vehicle's path and the mind's developing orientation. The Nodes together form one of the most significant pairs of activations in the BodyGraph for understanding the overall direction and environment of a life.
