The Mechanics of the Maia is Ra Uru Hu's framework for understanding the operational laws through which the BodyGraph functions within the material world (the Maia). It refers to the actual mechanical operation of the Design: how the 9 Centers generate, amplify, and transmit energy; how the 36 Channels create consistent definition; how the 64 Gates interface with neutrino streams and planetary transits; how defined and undefined Centers interact with the defined Centers of others through aura contact; and how conditioning shapes the Not-Self. The Mechanics of the Maia is Ra's term for the practical, observable, testable mechanics of the Human Design System as they operate in daily life — not abstract philosophy, but the working mechanics of how the vehicle navigates its journey through the material world.
