Planetary activation governing Temperature (Design side) and Mutation/Immaturity (Personality side).

In Human Design, Mars is one of the 13 planetary activations used in the BodyGraph calculation. Mars's position in the zodiac at the moment of birth (Personality calculation) and at approximately 88 solar degrees before birth (Design calculation) determines which Gate(s) Mars activates in the BodyGraph. On the Design (Unconscious) side, Mars governs Temperature — the thermal regulation and heat characteristics of the physical vehicle. On the Personality (Conscious) side, Mars governs Mutation and Immaturity — the restless, pushing, transformative quality of the mind's drive. Mars activations in the BodyGraph carry these themes of heat, drive, and the raw energy of transformation. In the context of planetary transits, Mars moves through the wheel relatively quickly, creating shorter-duration transit influences on the BodyGraph.
