In Human Design, Kiron (Ra Uru Hu's spelling of Chiron) is a minor planetary body — technically a comet-asteroid hybrid discovered in 1977 — that is used as one of the 13 planetary activations in the BodyGraph calculation. Ra used the spelling "Kiron" to distinguish the Human Design application from the astrological tradition. Kiron orbits between Saturn and Uranus and has an irregular orbital period of approximately 50 years. In Human Design, Kiron is associated with themes of wisdom gained through experience, healing, the bridge between inner and outer planetary influences, and the integration of what has been learned. Its activation in the BodyGraph points to areas where experience — including difficult experience — becomes the source of wisdom and authority.
