Juxtaposition

One of 3 Incarnation Cross families — a fixed fate with a very specific, narrow life path.

In Human Design, Juxtaposition refers primarily to the Juxtaposition Cross — one of the 3 families of Incarnation Crosses (alongside Right Angle and Left Angle). The Juxtaposition Cross is described by Ra Uru Hu as a fixed fate: those born with a Juxtaposition Cross have a very specific, narrow, and fixed life path with little flexibility. There is only one Juxtaposition Cross per hexagram line — making Juxtaposition Crosses relatively rare. Those with a Juxtaposition Cross often feel a strong sense of inevitability about their life direction — they cannot easily deviate from their path. More broadly, "juxtaposition" is used in Human Design to describe the relationship between seemingly contradictory or opposing forces existing side by side within the same design — such as defined and undefined centers, or the coexistence of different circuit energies.
