Human Design Reader
An entry-level practitioner trained to deliver Human Design chart readings using foundational system mechanics — Type, Strategy, Authority, Profile, and basic Center analysis.
A Human Design Reader is an entry-level practitioner who has completed foundational Human Design training and is qualified to deliver basic chart readings to individuals.
Scope of Practice:
A Reader's competency covers the foundational mechanics of the Human Design System: the 4 Types and their Strategies, the 7 types of Inner Authority, the 12 Profiles and their life themes, basic Center mechanics (defined vs. undefined, and their key expressions), and the fundamentals of the Human Design chart as a decision-making tool.
What a Reader Reading Covers:
A Reader reading introduces a client to their Human Design chart — their Type, how their Strategy works in practice, the specific nature of their Authority, and what their Profile reveals about their life expression. It is an entry-level engagement with the design, appropriate for clients encountering Human Design for the first time.
What a Reader Reading Does Not Cover:
A Reader does not have sufficient training to analyze the full BodyGraph. Gate-level analysis, Channel mechanics, circuit context, Variable, advanced Center dynamics, and the interplay of Personality and Design streams require Analyst-level training. A Reader who represents their reading as a complete chart analysis is operating beyond their training.
The Pathway:
Reader training is the entry point for professional Human Design practice. It is the foundation from which a practitioner advances to Living Design Guide specialization or full Analyst training.
