The Human Design System was received as a REVELATION by Ra Uru Hu (born Alan Robert Krakower) beginning on January 3, 1987, on the island of Ibiza, Spain. Over eight days and nights, Ra received a transmission from what he described as "the Voice" — a complete body of knowledge synthesizing the I-Ching, the Kabbalah (Tree of Life), the Hindu-Brahmin Chakra system, Western astrology, and modern physics (particularly neutrino science) into a coherent system for understanding human differentiation. Ra spent the remainder of his life teaching and transmitting the system through Jovian Archive, founded in Ibiza. He passed away on March 12, 2011. Since then, Jovian Archive continues to certify analysts and teachers and maintain the archive of Ra's original teachings. Human Design is not a belief system — it is a logical system that can be tested against one's own lived experience.
