The Generator is one of the 4 Types in Human Design and the most populous Type, constituting approximately 37% of the human population (with Manifesting Generators accounting for an additional ~33%, as they are a sub-Type of Generator). Together, all Sacral-defined beings (Generators and Manifesting Generators) make up approximately 70% of humanity.

The Generator is defined by:<br>- Defined Sacral Center — the most powerful motor in the BodyGraph. The Sacral provides consistent, renewable life force energy designed for sustained engagement with work, creativity, and life<br>- Open and enveloping aura — the Generator aura is magnetic and attractive, drawing the right people, work, and circumstances toward it<br>- No motor-to-Throat connection (pure Generator) — generators don't initiate in the Manifestor sense; their power is in their sustained response

Strategy: Respond — The Generator's correct strategy is to wait for something external (a question, an opportunity, an event) to trigger the sacral response — and then respond to that trigger. The sacral response (uh-huh / uhn-uhn) is a gut-level, in-the-moment vibrational sound and sensation that arises in response to what life presents. It is not a thought — it is a physical, energetic response of the body's life force.

Signature: Satisfaction — When the Generator is living correctly, responding to what is genuinely correct for them, the result is deep satisfaction — in their work, relationships, and life.

Not-Self: Frustration — When the Generator initiates (acts before a genuine sacral response), or says yes to things the Sacral does not truly want, frustration is the signal. Frustration is the Generator's indicator that they are living as the Not-Self.
