G Center

The Identity/Self Center — seat of the Magnetic Monopole, direction, love, and the self. Biological: liver and blood.

The G Center (also called the Identity Center or Self Center) is one of the 9 Centers in the Human Design BodyGraph, located in the middle of the BodyGraph mandala. It is the home of the Magnetic Monopole — the force that holds the Design and Personality Crystals together and pulls the vehicle along its correct geometry through life.

The G Center governs:
- Identity and Self — the sense of a consistent self, of "who I am" in the world
- Direction — the trajectory of the vehicle's life path; where it is going
- Love — not emotional love (which is Solar Plexus territory) but the magnetic quality of self-love and the love of life's direction

Defined G Center: A consistent, fixed sense of self and direction. Those with a defined G Center always know who they are and where they are going. They carry a stable, emanating presence — their identity is not shaken by the identities of others.

Undefined G Center: A fluid, variable, environmentally responsive sense of self. Those with an undefined G Center take in and sample the identities and directions of others. The Not-Self theme is asking "Who am I? Where am I going?" — seeking a fixed identity they were never designed to have. The gift of the undefined G Center is the ability to taste many identities and directions, and to find wisdom through that sampling.

The G Center connects to the Throat via Channels 7-31, 13-33, 1-8, and 2-14. The Magnetic Monopole, located in the G Center, is responsible for the geometry of each person's life — guiding the vehicle to the right places, people, and experiences when Strategy and Authority are honored. Biological correlate: liver and blood.
