The Channel of Recognition connects Gate 41 (Decrease — Root) with Gate 30 (Clinging Fire — Solar Plexus). This is the initiating channel of the Abstract Circuit: the Root's pressure of imagined feeling (Gate 41) igniting the Solar Plexus's burning desire for experience (Gate 30). Gate 41 is the gate of fantasy and the decrease of potential — the pressure to begin something new in order to have the feeling that has been imagined; Gate 30 is the fire of desire, the burning need to feel something real. Together they form Recognition: the channel that starts the abstract cycle, initiating the hunger for new experience. Ra Uru Hu called this channel the start codon of the Abstract Circuit.
