A BG5 Consultant is a practitioner trained in the professional and organizational application of Human Design mechanics. Where standard Human Design practice focuses on individual self-knowledge and personal experiment, BG5 applies those same mechanics to career, business, and organizational contexts.

What BG5 Covers:<br>BG5 (Business Group, based on the 5 Types) applies the full set of Human Design mechanics — Type, Strategy, Authority, Profile, Center configuration, Channel and circuit analysis — to the professional domain. This includes:

- Career Alignment: Identifying the specific professional environments, roles, decision-making structures, and working conditions where an individual's design thrives versus conditions that create chronic not-self friction.<br>- Team Composition Analysis: Examining how the BodyGraphs of team members interact — which circuit energies are consistently available, which are open and absorbing, and how the team's composite design affects collective decision-making and energy dynamics.<br>- Leadership Assessment: Applying Type mechanics to leadership style — each Type has a mechanically correct leadership mode, and placing individuals in roles that contradict their design mechanics reliably produces not-self behavior and organizational dysfunction.<br>- Organizational Circuit Analysis: See OC16 for group-level circuit mapping.

The Authentic Distinction:<br>BG5 is an application of Human Design mechanics, not a separate system. A qualified BG5 Consultant has completed Human Design training through the professional/business specialization curriculum — they understand that the mechanics they apply to organizations are the same mechanics that govern individual function, translated into the collective domain.

Scope of Practice:<br>A BG5 Consultant works with professionals, teams, HR departments, and organizations. They do not replace an individual Human Design reading — they apply the system to the professional context that is the dominant environment for most adults.
